What’s New in LIFT 3.1: 4 Updates for Smoother Intralogistics

In just a few years, plant floors have evolved from mostly manual processes to environments filled with robots, connected machines, and smart devices. That shift has made coordinating people, equipment, and automated vehicles significantly more complex. Many manufacturers are now looking for ways to bring clarity, consistency, and real-time decision-making to these dynamic workflows.

These evolving conditions informed the latest updates to Flexware Innovation’s intralogistics platform, LIFT. The enhancements available with 3.1 were shaped by what manufacturers are experiencing today: more data sources, more automation, and a stronger need for visibility across the entire material movement process. To meet those needs, the new release introduces features that help teams monitor resources, streamline workflows, and adapt to changing conditions with confidence.

Explore four key updates included in LIFT 3.1.

1. Resource Orchestration

With LIFT’s new resource dashboard, manufacturers can monitor resources in real-time, analyze historical trends, and enable flow-based decisions, all in one place. This makes it much easier to understand resource status at a glance. For example, if throughput declines, operators can quickly check battery levels, navigation faults, and idle times, empowering them to take corrective action before issues escalate.

2. Integration Flow Triggers

This new feature allows triggers to be created directly within the visual flow design environment. From there, integrations can register their own trigger types with custom parameters, validation rules, and execution logic. Because flows can now be initiated with configurable endpoints, message filters, and deserialization options, teams can eliminate polling-based workarounds. Altogether, these updates provide greater flexibility.

3. Wait for Condition Task

This new task type, available in the Flow Designer, makes it possible for flows to pause until a specific data point changes or reaches a target value. For example, a vehicle can arrive at a location, wait for the “conveyor ready” signal, activate the conveyor, and then wait for the “conveyor empty” signal before leaving, all without complex workarounds. This creates smoother, more reliable handoffs and reduces the chance of delays or errors.

4. ANT by BlueBotics Integration

LIFT now integrates with BlueBotics ANT-driven vehicles, supporting operations like move, pick, and drop. This not only enables more advanced material-handling workflows but also provides access to valuable vehicle metrics that enhance operational visibility.

Simplifying Material Movement

While LIFT continues to evolve, usability and scalability remain central to every update. By making it possible for non-technical users to configure and adjust workflows, teams can reduce their reliance on specialized resources and bring more of their integration and orchestration work back in-house.

Scalability is equally important. LIFT’s system-agnostic architecture means it can adapt as plants introduce new equipment, software, or automated vehicles. This flexibility helps protect long-term investments and ensures intralogistics operations stay responsive as needs change.

With LIFT 3.1, you’re improving today’s workflows while also laying the groundwork for a more connected, efficient, and resilient plant.
